Snowy lunch spot |
Snowball fight in June!!
Michael and I started our Rock Creek Lake trip with a hike to Gems Lakes. The trail was covered in snow a few yards past the cutoff for Chickenfoot Lake.

Julie brought Michael some fishing luck! |

The next day Imelda, Dave, Michael and I rented a boat to fish and check out Rock Creek Lake. Leah, Amy and Julie joined us in the afternoon to pleasure cruise. Michael didn't catch a fish all day until he got lucky enough to have THREE ladies in the boat with him! |

New camping tradition set |
Ken finally joined us for some hanging out at French Camp and hiking the Little Lakes Valley to Chickenfoot Lake. |

After everyone departed from Rock Creek, Michael and I headed up to Mono Lake to check out the tufas. We also hiked the short trail to Panum Crater to check out some pumice and obsidian chunks. |

Our final destination was a stop at Hot Creek Geological Site. It's no Yellowstone (no, I haven't been there yet), but it's pretty cool nonetheless.
